I'm not sure what is more exciting at this exact moment: the fact that there's only 17 days until the release of DANGEROUS LOVE or the fact that I figured out how to add a countdown clock to my website. BY MYSELF.
What do authors do while they're waiting for, technically*, their first book to release? It could be just me, but here some common activities I've found myself doing as I count the days:
- obsessing because it still feels far away
-checking Amazon, B&N, and Chapters/Indigo to make sure the book still shows up online
-randomly typing the title into book store computers so that it's on there when people go to look for a book
-checking my email obsessively (fortunately this is not a new activity for me so it's not throwing me off my pre-release game)
-possibly driving my husband, children, best friend, and writing partner nuts (again, this is not new #seasonedpro)
-reading everything and anything on successful book launches
Notice none of those things include cleaning the house, feeding my family, or doing the chores I promised myself I would over Spring Break. Because I'm busy. Clearly.
*Kara and I both have books available on Amazon. I'll put a link right here in case you want to check them out while you're pre-ordering Dangerous Love. ;)
